L.A. Times reporter Daniel Miller has been covering a weird happening in L.A.’s Highland Park neighborhood for a few months: residents there are being deluged with fast food deliveries they didn’t order.
Miller read my story “Antonia and the Stranger Who Came to Rancho Los Feliz” in the anthology Speculative Los Angeles, and somehow drew a connection between my vision of dystopian L.A. and what’s happening in Highland Park, so he contacted me a few weeks ago. We did a phone interview, and the article appeared today (in the online version; the print version will be out tomorrow).
Unfortunately the article’s behind a paywall, but here’s a screen grab of my comments. I’m delighted to be asked, as an L.A.-based horror writer, to comment on one of my city’s bizarro happenings.
