If you ask any fan of the paranormal to name the most haunted venue in Southern California, it’s likely they’ll name the Queen Mary, that venerable luxury cruise ship that launched in 1936, saw military service during World War II (when it acquired the moniker of “the Grey Ghost), permanently docked in Long Beach in 1967, and officially opened as a tourist attraction in 1971. Not only will that ghost enthusiast point to the historic art deco vessel, but they’ll probably even single out one spot on the ship: Stateroom B340. This is the room that believers – like those quoted in a 2019 article from Syfy – say “draws in all the negative energy and supernatural forces on the ship like a paranormal black hole.”
